About this artwork
In the flower pictures I try to bring out the special features of the blossoms. A special challenge is translating the small blossoms to the size of the canvas.
A magnolia is a unique jewel for every garden. Its flowers are fascinatingly shaped and come in wonderful shades of color. The petals form a characteristic tulip shape.
I discovered this one on a walk in spring. It shines beautifully against the blue sky. I added neon accents to my colors.… The paint was applied in several layers with a spatula and brush.
Antje Wanderer-Oberhaus, a former industrial engineer, is a painting artist who works with acrylics, sand and occasionally neon colors. She uses a variety of techniques to paint expressively bright flowers and garden scenes, even combining photo printing in her "Blue November" series. Her works always radiate an aura of hope, a cheerful and motivating ray of light amidst the dark challenges of our time.
