About this artwork
I liked the idea of Piet Mondrian's abstract squares coming to life. Keith Haring uses a similar visual language like Mondrian: clear monochrome colours, clear shape and black lines. Both ways are very similar, yet fundamentally different. To me it seemed natural to bring both together. The straight squares become alive and start dancing - that's my idea of this piece. It gives a smile to me and I hope I can pass it on.

Arno Bruse is an experienced, award-winning German artist living in Berlin. His Pop Art paintings are influenced by the ornamentation of Klimt's paintings and the pared-down simplicity of the works of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol. Bruse's paintings are energetic, vibrant works that enliven both the viewer and the spaces in which they appear.
