About this artwork
Resin sculpture.
An iconic Renaissance sculpture, David is weary of the "Warholization" of the art world, disrespectful and excessive, where ugliness vies with the ubiquitous "Campbell" ready-made, where portraits of stars like Marilyn Monroe or Steve McQueen, repainted bulldogs, or pop-ified, street-art Mickeys delight decorators… He fades away, collapsing. Slowly, he deflates before this hollow world devoid of ideals, dreams, and a future.
… Bronze or resin sculpture with finishing options. Height 60 cm. Signed and numbered /8 + 4 EA in bronze and /20 + 4 EA in resin.
In bronze upon request

« Anarchy is the freedom of men who deserve it. »
Arson is a sculptor based in France whose works explore femininity, sensuality, and form. Through his surrealist-inspired art, he invites us to not only reflect upon the woman but also to ruminate on what is still considered taboo in contemporary society. In his artistic process, Arson most often employs metal, resin, and lacquer.
