About this artwork
This portrait is an encounter between the model and a silent instrument. She seized it.
I then took the sound of her positions to create this painting like a silent melody. The touch of blue, placed on her skin, comes like an unexpected note in this uninterrupted music of the musician's movement. Capturing this unexpected moment, in movement, I tried to give it a "pop" look, as music can be an eclectic universe.
Like a fresco of Jazz from the 80s.
Arthur Og, a polymorphic artist, comes from a musical background and trained in various art studios. He excels in the realism of oil painting, sometimes showing a leaning toward surrealism or abstraction, and explores organic themes in clay sculpture. Renowned for his music-related portraits, he brings scenes to life in period costume. His works, imbued with a vibrant exploration of the human body, gaze, and human expression, invite reflection on creation and the passage of time.
