This is the story of a non-musician who encounters an instrument. She seized the guitar with a somewhat romantic gesture, as if driven by a triumphant mission. The immediate pose made me imagine she had grasped a scepter.
The features of her soft, curved face gave the scene a very interesting artistic contrast to paint. I chose sepia and dark tones to give the body its exalted attitude and this painting a historical side. As if to let the present… rediscover the pigments of yesteryear.
