Paris, Louis Vuitton Foundation. I love Paris and I admire the architect Frank Gehry. With this image, I illustrate how I perceive architecture. This building is a sensory space; I experience it with all my senses. With my eyes, I take in the form. With my hands, I explore the material. With my sense of smell, I perceive the building itself, the people who visit it, and everything within it. With my ears, I take in the building's sound and the background…
hum of voices. I perceive the totality of these impressions not so much in sequence but in parallel. I consciously choose a multidimensional representation, which I create freehand with ink and gouache, and which reflects the entirety of my impressions.
