About this artwork
This painting is part of a small series of waterfalls, all pictured in another season. Sparkle, Spring Splash and this one called The Stream. Spacious, open, and with a combination of cool water and warm light.
It is made with acrylics, and there are many layers underneath which especially shine through the 'white' parts (which are merely colored whites) in it. Also occasionally I used pencil to bring in lines. I love combining painting and drawing… in my work. And as usual I brought in recognazible but a little distorted elements, that bring in a spacious and open feeling.

« I like to play with reality, colors, light, shapes, movements, and transform images. They might appear a little distorted, even if realistic, but I always search for harmony. »
Bea Evers is an artist based in the Netherlands whose paintings have been exhibited nationally and in Italy. While the themes in her works have changed throughout the years, her current pieces are primarily semi-abstract landscapes. Evers describes her art as an invitation to the viewer to feel a sense of spaciousness, while also "giving the eye something to search for". She most often creates using acrylics and charcoal on wood or canvas.
