About this artwork
In this work, I used India ink to explore the complexity of geometric forms. Each woven line evokes a tension between order and chaos, conveying a vibrant and repetitive energy. My aim was to capture an inner, almost sonorous movement that animates and energizes any space where this piece is placed. The ink supports are whatever I happen to have on hand.

Benoît Dedieu-Anglade, a graduate of the École nationale des arts décoratifs in Paris, blends drawing and sculpture, primarily using ballpoint pens, papier-mâché, and found materials. His technique oscillates between the sheet and three-dimensionality, working with the spontaneity of cut and drawn forms to compose complex and communicative works born from observations of everyday life. In each of his pieces, he conveys a sense of wonder at the mystery of creation and the spontaneous origin of forms, encouraging the viewer to see the seemingly insignificant in a new light.
