September morning at the lake
This painting was created on a quiet September morning at the same small lake I had painted the evening before. While the previous day the water was bathed in warm evening light, the landscape presented a completely different, more tranquil atmosphere the next morning.
The sky was lightly overcast, and the light was soft and subdued. The water lay still, reflecting the colors of the early autumn landscape. The small… jetty extending into the lake enhanced the tranquil atmosphere of this place.
When I paint, I try to capture such fleeting moments – not just the place itself, but above all the mood of a particular instant. This painting is a reminder of the tranquility of an early September morning by the lake, before the day begins and the landscape comes alive again.
