About this artwork
Artist’s Studio celebrates the vibrant energy of creativity through a close look at the tools of the trade. Watercolor tubes spill open from a well-worn wooden box, brushes lean in a glass jar, and a palette bursts with pigment — a vivid record of artistic labor. The painting transforms an ordinary studio scene into a dynamic composition where every detail conveys the rhythm of creation. Both chaotic and harmonious, it captures the intimate poetry… of the workspace, a place where color, gesture, and imagination converge.
In this watercolor piece, I poured my passion for creativity into every brushstroke. The vibrant chaos of paint tubes and palette reflects the raw energy and emotion that fuels my art. I wanted to capture the intimate, messy beauty of the artist’s world—where inspiration flows freely and every color tells a story. This painting will bring warmth and lively spirit to any space, inviting viewers into the heart of creation.
Bogdan Shiptenko is a contemporary Ukrainian artist born in 1994 in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine. He works primarily with watercolor, acrylic, and graphic media, focusing on figurative painting and urban themes. He holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts and has over 15 years of professional artistic practice, with more than 10 years of international sales.
Shiptenko’s work explores the relationship between people and the urban environment — architecture, streets, cafés, and the everyday rhythm of city life. His distinctive style combines expressive watercolor and dynamic multi-figure compositions, capturing both the energy of crowds and moments of quiet solitude.
A central part of his practice is the long-term series People on the White, which reflects on contemporary urban society, human routines and overconsumption set against minimalist white backgrounds. Bogdan Shiptenko has participated in numerous exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad, his works are held in private collections worldwide.
