About this artwork
Contrast is the prevailing theme in this image of a leaf. It wasn't until I converted it to black and white did the white lines pop. Striking is how I would describe the impact of first encountering this image. The breadth of the details is what was so captivating. It reveals how the individual markings can be so distinctive. This was taken inside the Strybing Arboretum in Golden State Park San Francisco. It offers a diverse botanical… experience. Because of the window enclosure the light was diffused. Just enough however to create a balance between the punctuated lines and the deep black background.
This image will be printed using Archival Inks and Canson Rag Photographique 100% cotton museum grade Fine Art Paper. This paper offers a unique extra smooth surface with a sensual feel. It also provides one the highest acheivable Dmax available, making it ideal for Fine Art images.
This print will have a 3/4" border and will be signed and numbered at the bottom.
