After Dark is part of my Rogues’ Gallery series, exploring the characters and relationships that emerge as cities take on a different rhythm after sunset. As daylight fades, cafés, bars, and street corners become stages where conversations unfold, strangers cross paths, and ordinary moments take on a quiet sense of mystery.
The figures are not portraits of specific individuals but composite characters drawn from years of travel, observation, and… imagination. Through expressive linework, simplified forms, and bold color, I seek to capture the atmosphere and emotional resonance of nighttime rather than a specific place or event, inviting viewers to imagine the stories that continue long after the evening begins.
