At the first glance one cannot see the details. The rank and file events, people , objects will one can observe while passing by. For example a young man sitting alone in his single room with prayer beads in his hand. There is nothing special about this view. They are forgotten or even alien places lost in the big city. Only in recent time by means of artists and sometimes sociologists they are becoming the points of interest and by means of technology… like video and photograph they can reach us.

Caner Karavit is an award-winning Turkish artist whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in China and Italy. The painter and printmaker separates his artistic outlook and journey into two separate stages. The first being influenced by Western art, which he interpreted through performances, paintings, printmaking, and wood carvings. Karavit's second stage is deeply affected by Chinese art and Buddhist philosophy, which is evident in his more recent works.
