About this artwork
In this poetic Face-Landscape, an ink drawing on Wenzhou paper, mounted on a square canvas frame (gesso + white acrylic paint), I wanted to capture the complexity and duality of human emotions, but also a certain fragility, a sense of otherness in the gaze. Spontaneous ink strokes, embracing chance and openness, accentuate depth and light, playing on the effects produced by the ink on the paper, initially mounted on the stretched canvas. Each color…
embodies a distinct energy, blending gentleness and intensity, inviting the viewer to explore inner contrasts. It is a gestural work guided by my eye, my hand, my intuition, and my breath. A suitable UV-resistant fixative has been sprayed to protect the artwork. The canvas is presented in exhibitions with a simple black American-style frame secured by four screws. I will leave this frame in place for better protection during shipping. It can be easily removed.
