Layers of Deposited Light
Within the silent strata of color,
light falls slowly, like time reduced to fine dust,
grain after grain, settling gently upon the surface of memory.
The dark rectangle resembles the shadow of a passage—
it no longer speaks, yet remains through its weight;
and the warm reds and golden ochres that veil it
seem like a newly born light,
breathing once more upon the remnants of the past.
Geometric boundaries are not limits,…
but cross-sections where memory and sensation meet;
each layer so transparent that one can glimpse the hesitation beneath,
yet dense enough to veil what can no longer be spoken.
This painting is like a silent stratum:
where unspoken words settle,
imperceptible glimmers,
and emotions gently blunted by time.
Here,
light does not illuminate—
it falls, covers, remains,
as if whispering:
nothing has disappeared; everything has simply sunk more deeply.
