About this artwork
I would like to begin my monochrome series with one of my oldest pictures.
Through our kitchen window I see the tree every day that inspired this picture.
Under the heading: Other images of the work; I have included a photo of it.
In the year it was built, we had a lot of blackbirds that always gathered on this tree, and then flew off as if on command.
So I painted this scene in a slightly abstracted form. Monochrome painting simply suited this… picture best.
The picture comes with a black wooden frame (30x40 cm), passe-partout and plexiglass pane.

In my work I explore the transformation of natural forms and everyday visual worlds through the interplay of painting, photography and digital processes.
I work with watercolor, acrylic painting, abstract photography and digital media.
and develop hybrid compositions that lie between traditional painting and
contemporary image design.
Many of my works originate from photographs that I take myself and which are often
Fragments of nature, textures, or fleeting visual moments are captured. These images serve as a starting point for a process of reinterpretation, in which painting, digital manipulation, and abstraction gradually transform the original source material. Through this multi-layered approach, familiar elements are transformed into new visual landscapes that oscillate between reality and fantasy.
