About this artwork
This portrait emerged from my own self-reflection – from the desire to better understand life, meaning, tasks, and inner plans. The Kabbalistically inspired writing and symbols represent action protocols, challenges, beliefs, and inner dialogues. Not everything is clearly legible; every word carries meaning and is open to individual interpretation.
The portrait is central. I paint faces out of love for human expression – for eyes, posture, and gesture,… for the tension between strength and sensitivity. The figure bears much and yet stands upright. The raw, almost childlike crown does not represent power, but rather innate, inviolable worth.
Acrylic paint and acrylic markers on wood lend the work grounding, depth, and physicality. The visible structure bears the traces of the process – layers, decisions, revisions.
This image is not a statement, but an invitation: to pause, to ask questions.
