About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to paint the instant when the sky opens completely and the city below begins to silently ignite. An expansive atmosphere dominates the scene: open, luminous brushstrokes construct a sky in transition, where cool blues converse with warm flashes of gold and amber. The elongated, dynamic clouds suggest movement and depth, as if the air itself were undergoing a transformation. Nightfall descends upon the buildings by the sea,…
and the last light slips through the clouds like a slow, luminous tide. I sought to create an atmosphere that feels alive and almost musically in motion, while the urban edge remains serene and distant, allowing the light to be the true protagonist.
The work invites contemplation and evokes that moment suspended between day and night in which the world seems to hold its breath.
