About this artwork
In this painting, I have tried to capture that suspended moment when the day bids farewell without haste. The sky is the true protagonist: vast, ever-changing, filled with layers of light and color that overlap like gentle emotions. I have worked with open blues, violets, and warm clouds to convey a sense of calm. I work with a wide range of values, from the ochres and pinks of the horizon to the deep blues and violets that unfold in the upper clouds.…
The composition is built around a horizontal axis marked by the mae line, which acts as a point of equilibrium between the serenity of the water and the complexity of the sky. The clouds are rendered with broad, modulated brushstrokes, allowing their volume to be defined without losing the sense of movement. The shadowed terrain deliberately contrasts with the luminous sky, reinforcing the effect of spatial depth. With all of this, I aim to convey a sense of calm and an invitation to repose.
