About this artwork
The figure on the right combines Romanian folkloric symbols with Swiss elements and reflects my experience as a Romanian living in Switzerland. The figure on the left represents AI and transforms this cultural identity into a fragmented visual language of binary code, patterns, and distorted forms.
The work poses the question: What happens to our identity… when it is translated between cultures and then interpreted by a machine?

She uses the so-called Trataka meditation technique. In 2022, she resigned from her management position at a supermarket to pursue her dream of becoming an artist. By 2023, she had participated in her first group exhibition in Bad Tölz, which led to a contract with a renowned gallery. Her work has been featured in Merkur magazine and published in the Belgian art magazine L'Eventail.
Another highlight followed in 2024: The artist won the ArtdeSuisse Cosmopolitan Prize, which included an exhibition in Lucerne and a feature in the spring issue of ArtdeSuisse. Her surreal works, characterized by vibrant colors and profound symbols, blend reality with fantasy and invite reflection.
