The artwork features a mesmerizing checkerboard pattern on the left side, with alternating maroon and yellow squares intersected by a delicate diamond lattice overlay in light pink. As you transition to the right, you will be greeted by large triangles filled with intricate linear pink patterns against a striking blue background. These… triangles are outlined to emphasize their form against the vibrant yellow and blue striped segments that complete the composition.
What truly sets this piece apart is the unique process behind its creation. During the priming of the surface, numerous scratches and flaws occurred from the sanding process. Rather than concealing these imperfections, I chose to highlight them as a way to showcase that humans, much like this artwork, are flawed and imperfect yet still possess their own unique beauty.
