About this artwork
Inspired by folk art and traditional quilt patterns, Illusionary Patchwork is a mesmerizing display of shapes and colors. At the center of the composition lies a large, intricate star-like form of red, white, and black triangles that create smaller diamond and square patterns within. The background, a pattern of blue and white triangles, adds depth and contrast to the overall design.
What sets Illusionary Patchwork apart is its unique arrangement… of geometric shapes, meticulously assembled to mimic the look of a quilt. Whether hung on a diagonal or as a square, this artwork is sure to captivate viewers with its bold, dynamic quality.

Danette Newton, a seasoned artist armed with oil paints and acrylics, originates from a modest background. Her vibrant, geometric designs are interlaced with abstract, figural landscapes, produced free-hand demonstrating the beauty in natural imperfections. Newton’s creations are a dynamic exploration of color relationships, and an empathetic ode to the perfectly flawed human condition.
