This artwork captures that moment. A fawn among deadwood and ferns, half-hidden. Fragile and strong at the same time, because it trusts its instincts.

I'm Daniel, a painter from Leipzig. I've been painting under the name danh1z since 2019 – first as an apprentice glass and porcelain painter in Kaufbeuren, then on my own.
What interests me is the tension between control and letting go. I work in layers – building up, reworking, revealing. Sometimes a painting is finished in hours, sometimes I work on it for weeks. Palette knives, brushes, flowing paint – whatever the painting needs.
The subjects change. Animals, cars, people. I paint what moves me, what challenges me, what I don't yet understand.
My works are held in private and institutional collections in Europe, the USA, and South Korea. In 2026, I was a jury member at the Geoje International Art Festival in South Korea—an experience that profoundly influenced me.
