About this artwork
With my work, "Dreams and Desires", I wanted to capture the moment in which I express a wish and entrust it to the world.
To do this, I combined two styles: the elegance of Art Nouveau and the richness of Byzantine gold leaf. This allowed me to transform a simple gesture (blowing on a dandelion) into something eternal and precious.
The woman in the painting symbolizes inner reflection. She represents the meeting point between the fragility of the… dandelion (the uncertainty of the future) and the eternity of gold (faith).
Ultimately, I wanted to create a visual tribute to the human capacity to dream boldly, reminding the viewer of the beauty that emerges when we stop holding back our aspirations and let them begin their journey into the world.
