Daniela Volpi is a contemporary Italian artist whose pictorial research investigates identity, body, and transformation.

The figures emerge from the material as ever-evolving presences, through stratifications, signs, transparencies, and superimpositions. The body is not merely represented: it becomes a place of experience, memory, and connection.

His most recent research, “The Limit in the Border”, explores what happens between visible and invisible, individuality and relationship, form and transformation.

In her work, the border is not separation, but a space in which identities meet, overlap, and mutually transform each other. Faces and bodies seem to belong simultaneously to themselves and to each other, revealing an identity that is never definitive.

Painting thus becomes a space for questioning: where does the individual end and the other begin? How much of who we are arises from encounters, memories, and the relationships that exist within us?
