About this artwork
The work is part of the “Short Stories” which are, in my vision, images/figures that replace words, creating an alternative language to the canonical one, and with them I tell stories.
The little men are reminiscent of those in table football but are free, not constrained by the forced movement of the game.
In my “Short Stories” the group of people form a story, tell a tale and pronounce a sentence with a language that creates an identity.
In… this work, a group of people form a harmonious and colorful choir where each maintains their own individuality and enhances it as a whole.
The characters seem to sing, and the words imprinted there recall a message that has become a daily slogan: in creating the work, in fact, I thought about who it is intended for and consequently I told that story with words taken from the values that identify the group.

I'm Dario Longo. I'm afraid of colors, but when I use them, I use fluorescent ones. I can't keep my studio tidy and dream of an empty room. I'd fill a space with objects, but not with words. My art consists of a large shelf of objects. I've never thought of giving them a new life; I've always thought of living with them, of bringing them home and looking at them: you can find beauty in the small details of things that have never been art. My story begins, in fact, when a long time ago I found a foosball player. That's my number one object. Since then, I've found many other objects in life.
