Marilyn's image has been bedazzled and sold to desperate visitors in all the top tourist spots in all the cities worldwide. Is it art? Novelty?..or just plain merchandising?

David Kurtz, an Oklahoma-born, San Francisco-based painter, began his journey in the arts honing skills under local artists and at Weitzenhoffer College of Fine Arts. His Neo-Expressionist style, inspired by the likes of Basquiat and Rauschenberg, employs vigorous and improvisational lines with a distinctive matte effect, creating layers of depth and texture. Through his creations, themes such as civil rights, and religious influence laced with dark humor are navigated, aiming to stir a mix of discomfort and amusement in viewers.
