About this artwork
From the narrative void, I want to invite the viewer to give meaning to the image, to make them a participant in the artistic creation by proposing an image that evolves along with the environment that surrounds it.
The juxtaposition of calm and active spaces is a constant in my work. In this case, the piece depicts a dark space, filled with oxidized paint, which supports and anchors the wall. This balance acts as a backdrop for something more direct:… a constant redistribution of visual weight by the lateral bands, which guide the eye toward the center of the image, while the lower band acts as scaffolding for the composition, relieving visual pressure and allowing the gaze to flow freely across its surface.
