About this artwork
The work entitled "Dead Woods" evokes a row of dead trees in front of a sandy, desert horizon. Above these bare trunks vibrate black patterns similar to two superimposed audiograms. The black streaks attracted by gravity or repelled by it are like frequencies which saturate. Perhaps these patterns fix the cry of dead trees for eternity. Cinephiles will recognize in this canvas a nod to the film "The Ghost Writer" by Roman Polanski.
