About this artwork
La Ventana is Spanish for "the window". Located west of Albuquerque, this natural formation attracts many tourists. The huge size of the arch has to be seen to be fully appreciated. I chose a simple wood frame to compliment the form of nature. Color wise, the golden rocks contrast dramatically with the cool purple tones they take on in the shadows, emphasizing the striations within the rocks.
