Incarnata is the moment a siren begins to take form. In this piece, I explore the fragile instant where water, stone, and light gather into something almost alive. The figure is not yet a body; she is a presence in the making — a warmth rising through the elements before any clear outline exists.
Incarnata is the siren who is named only in the moment she appears. She is not born; she keeps becoming. I wanted to capture that tension between emergence… and dissolution, where the world hesitates and a new being takes shape. The work shifts between abstraction and suggestion, allowing the viewer to sense a body without ever fully seeing one.
Part of my ongoing Siren Series, Incarnata expands the mythology I have been building, tracing the origins and transformations of these elemental beings.
Denis Leclerc, a classically trained painter and accomplished digital artist, bridges the worlds of fine art and visual communication with an expansive practice rooted in oil, acrylic, and digital media. His intricate, layered digital abstractions skillfully blend painterly gestures with subtle animation, drawing from a meditative, minimalist sensibility or a lush, baroque digital vocabulary. Each piece explores transformation and ambiguity, inviting viewers into liminal spaces where forms shift and dissolve—conveying emotions of suspension, quiet resonance, and lingering presence that invite slow, contemplative attention.
