About this artwork
With this work, I am interested in the moment when an image begins to appear but never fully settles. I work through erosion, suspended gestures, and unstable traces rather than fixed representation. What emerges feels fragile, almost transitional, as though the image were still forming or dissolving at the same time.
This Cabinet Edition transforms the work into a more intimate and contemplative object. Presented in a small format with generous… surrounding space, the image is meant to be approached slowly, almost like a fragment or a visual memory held in suspension.
Part of my broader exploration of perception and what I describe as a pedagogy of the gaze, the work invites a quieter relationship with abstraction — one based less on explanation than on attention, atmosphere, and gradual perception.
