About this artwork
“I called this painting Singularity 1.
It is the first of three on the same theme.
I use galaxies, stars and comets as a guide,
because from the primary colors I seek gold,
light that is born from the origin.”
Donatella Chiocchi uses painting, primarily through the exclusive use of primary colors, starting from a passionate and profound self-taught path. Her technique lies in abstract, material-based art: material and color are visceral, gestural tools that give form to moods and interior landscapes, without following preconceived patterns. Each of her works is an emotional self-portrait: it conveys silence, dreaminess, nostalgia, and invites the viewer to immerse themselves in a delicate and poetic introspection.
