About this artwork
In painting this painting, I wanted to capture a moment of intimate reflection, where light and shadow silently dance together, creating a visual dialogue between human fragility and the strength that emerges from vulnerability. This work, created in oil on canvas, invites the viewer to contemplate their emotions, to look within themselves, and to accept every fragility.
The painting was featured in the exhibition "Dreaming of Japan in the heart… of Rome", January 2022, Trevi Fountain, Rome
and the virtual exhibition "Feel", 19 December - 10 January 2023, curated by Art Maison Gallery - Beatrice Cordaro
Elena Romanini, graduated in archaeology, is a painter who creates works on paper, canvas and wood with oil, ink, acrylics, watercolors and graphite. Through a dialogue between figurative and abstract, Romanini employs a variable approach, favoring acrylic for instinctive abstract painting and oil for reflective figurative painting, frequently enriching his works with material elements and gold and silver pigments. Romanini's art aims to crystallize emotions and sensations in an instant, creating a vibrant bridge between the flow of life and his personal vision of reality.
