About this artwork
Guided by intuition and immediacy, this need to express my emotions without being able to put them into words is based on the creation of my works.
Without any particular thought, I use the inspiring colors of the moment. First, a form emerges with a decisive gesture. Then, the harmony of the tones of the present moment dances with the application of a brush, palette knives, or directly from the tubes. More or less randomly, the automatic flow of… an unknown script comes to life on the canvas. Lines and curves overlap, settle, and intersect.
Following this creation tinged with yellow and green, observation and feeling led me to the choice of the title.
At that moment, the painting becomes yours, with the hope that it touches you, transports you on an imaginary journey for a few reveries or a deeper, more personal journey that allows you to unearth your buried and well-guarded feelings, offering a liberation and/or an escape.

Eric Delahaye, a visual artist who works primarily with paint, first gained recognition as a performance painter. Employing a palette knife, he has perfected his unique style, blending abstraction, semi-abstraction, and conceptual art. Through his "Vibrations" and "Effusion" series, he expresses his inner contrasts: masculine and feminine, shadow and light, joy and sorrow.
