About this artwork
Solitude invites viewers into a space of quiet reflection. Deep blues and soft gradients create a sense of emptiness that is not cold, but contemplative—an inner landscape shaped by silence. The work began as a textured painting, later softened and abstracted through photography… to reveal an atmospheric depth.
This piece is less about isolation than about presence: being alone with one’s own thoughts long enough for them to settle. It offers a gentle pause, a breath drawn inward, a moment suspended.
Printed on museum-grade etching paper, whose tactile surface allows pigments to sink into the fibres like paint. The result is a uniquely painterly photographic work — soft, textured, and rich in depth. Available in four sizes.
