About this artwork
The two works have a touching power and are playful and intense at the same time.
I used deep colors in the upper part, such as magenta, violet, aubergine and gold, in dialogue with light lines.
A mosaic-like surface in white, turquoise, gray and gold was created in the lower part. This gives the work a slightly spatial basis and lightness at the same time.
The overall impression of the work is powerful and calm. But there are many subtle details… that invite you to take a closer look.
The background of this picture was originally a 2-part canvas photograph with yellow spirals on a blue background. This tempted me to paint over it with a variety of lines, with the patterns of the background shimmering through attractively on the sides.
The works can be hung together or separately.
A suspension is mounted on the back of each picture so that these works can be hung up immediately.
A final varnish protects the work from dust and the effects of light.
Eva Dahn Rubin is an artist living in Germany and Italy, whose paintings have been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions. She describes her artistic work as an "emotional and exciting process" that constantly allows her to grow beyond her own concepts. Through the joyful intensity of their creation, her works become powerful objects. Influenced by music and dance, many of her compositions are characterized by the rhythm and movement of lines, forms, and colors. They inspire viewers to see the hidden and discover the new. Her multifaceted and vibrant works are created using acrylic, tempera, collage and ink on canvas, paper or found materials.
