About this artwork
This work from the MOVING SILENCE series was created in midsummer 2023.
First I applied transparent colors to the white primed surface of the canvas with a squeegee and then painted in several layers with hundreds of falling lines. Some lines run impasto, others get lost in each other in fascinating color gradients.
When I look at it, thoughts like festive, strong, heartwarming come to mind - without being able to say exactly why these terms appear.… The colors are very powerful and bright, with many complex details.
This picture with bright and friendly colors looks calm and elegant, at the same time it has a vibrant liveliness.
The side parts are also painted and eyelets are let into the frame on the back.
So the work is ready to hang!
