About this artwork
This image is a fusion of photography and textile techniques. The Polaroid captures a cloud formation that appears calm yet alive as it slowly moves across the sky. But what makes this image truly special is the combination of two contrasting techniques - photography and sewing. Hand-embroidered elements made of fine threads and beads add an extra dimension to the photo, almost bringing the clouds to life.
The technique used here is a sophisticated… and complex symbiosis of traditional craftsmanship and modern photography. It is a form of memory that combines both the transience of the clouds and the durability of the textile work. The picture comes with a frame and can be hung or placed upright.
