In this work, I created a semi-abstract depiction of a skull using acrylics and spray paint, capturing both life and transience. The cool blue tones lend it a calm, almost meditative energy. Ewa Mazur-Koj is a versatile artist who grew up in Poland and has lived in Germany since 2004. She primarily works with acrylic, oil and mixed media. Her fluid techniques mix realism and abstraction, with people often at the center of her work. Her metaphorically rich works focus on the individual, whose feelings and vulnerability are permeated by a subtle eroticism. They are the visual expression of an indescribable world of thought. Colors and lines form her own wordless visual language and permeate the core message of her art.
