About this artwork
In a period of my life I was fascinated by mannequins and the reflections of some shop windows, so I went around Milan, and as for my previous work “RIFLESSI”, published here, in which I portrayed the reflection of a shop window in via Montenapoleone, a photo that was awarded by Sony in a competition that took place in 2009 in Cannes (France) and used in Great Britain to advertise some televisions, the shot that I present to you today took place…
near the Duomo, also in Milan, I exploited the reflection of a shop window from which you could glimpse a mannequin with a beautiful red wig. Done! The digital processing of this photograph of mine printed on canvas treated with enamel paint and varnish, following these interventions, becomes a real gallery painting and places it in a border area between painting and photography, maintaining the value of the unique piece.

Ezio Ranaldi, is an artist born in Canosa di Puglia, in the Province of Bari, on May 23, 1948, where he lives and works. He has held many solo and group exhibitions in various cities, including Tarquinia, at the Etruscopolis Museum, in Ferrara at the Estense Castle, in Cannes in France, in Norwich in Great Britain, in Paris, in Bari, and in many other Italian locations. He has participated in various International Biennials including Rome, Florence, Ferrara, Lecce, Verona. Present in various Modern and Contemporary Art Fairs, including Padova Arte, ExpoArte in Bari, Artisti in Mostra in Parma, Artexpo in New York, Arte Salerno. Numerous prizes and awards. His works appear in public and private collections, as well as being published several times in catalogs and contemporary art magazines. Valuable critics have expressed themselves regarding his work.
