About this artwork
New York has been a source of inspiration for artists from all over the world. It is a destination full of classic clichés: a young girl moves from a small town to a big city to live out her dreams of being an actress, there is a palpable energy that is not found anywhere in the world, people, including me, flock to New York fascinated by the skyscrapers with a thousand lights, the yellow taxis, the jazz clubs. In fact, in this painting I was fascinated…
by the Art Deco of the Chrysler Building, by the liveliness of this metropolis and when I returned to Italy, I brought with me the image of the beautiful New York girl who appears in the foreground.
As usual, I use a mixed technique with enamel and acrylic colors on digitally processed photography on canvas, finally treated with transparent varnish to make it durable and resistant to atmospheric agents. Authentic work made by me in a single copy.

Ezio Ranaldi, is an artist born in Canosa di Puglia, in the Province of Bari, on May 23, 1948, where he lives and works. He has held many solo and group exhibitions in various cities, including Tarquinia, at the Etruscopolis Museum, in Ferrara at the Estense Castle, in Cannes in France, in Norwich in Great Britain, in Paris, in Bari, and in many other Italian locations. He has participated in various International Biennials including Rome, Florence, Ferrara, Lecce, Verona. Present in various Modern and Contemporary Art Fairs, including Padova Arte, ExpoArte in Bari, Artisti in Mostra in Parma, Artexpo in New York, Arte Salerno. Numerous prizes and awards. His works appear in public and private collections, as well as being published several times in catalogs and contemporary art magazines. Valuable critics have expressed themselves regarding his work.
