About this artwork
At twilight, the city is silhouetted against the river in silent blocks. The buildings, the bridge, and the clouds seem motionless, frozen in a state of waiting. Only the blurred silhouette of a passerby crosses the railing, carrying with it the movement of time.
This slight discrepancy between the still setting and the moving body interests me: we inhabit the city but we often pass through it without really seeing it. By working with backlighting,… the coolness of the morning blue and the warm band of the horizon, I seek to capture this suspended moment where we sense life more than we see it, on the border between presence and disappearance.

I photograph the moment when one chooses to appear... or to withdraw. My practice explores the boundary between visibility and discretion in public space through simple gestures: a hand that rises, a back that turns away, a motionless presence in the middle of the flow.
I compose with light, lines and voids to guide the gaze, then I leave a part open so that each person can invent their own story.
My works belong to the series "The Invisible Within Sight," a black and white and color exploration of the micro-gestures that determine what we reveal or conceal from the gaze of others. Limited edition pigment prints, signed and numbered.
