About this artwork
Beneath the bridge's deck, the city narrows into a corridor of stone and light. The columns punctuate the space like a metronome as a cyclist appears in the foreground, closely followed by another figure. In this stark black and white, the shadows of the pillars transform into vanishing lines that accentuate the feeling of speed and urgency, like a silent race between two strangers.

Florent KOPP
France
Florent Kopp is a French photographer whose work explores what often remains on the periphery of our gaze: human presences, suspended moments, solitude, silence and traces left in space.
His work today focuses on a single series, The Invisible Within Reach, constructed as an invitation to slow down and look differently at what we encounter every day without always seeing it.
Through black and white, plays of light, silhouettes and spaces, Florent Kopp does not simply seek to document a scene. He prioritizes suggestion, atmosphere and emotion, deliberately leaving the viewer a role in the construction of the story.
Human presence occupies a central place in his photographic writing: sometimes obvious, sometimes reduced to a silhouette or a trace, it questions our way of looking at others and the world around us.
