In this image, the path is the central element of the composition. It not only leads into the distance but also structures the entire image. The trees placed to the sides form a frame that both defines and opens up the space.
What interests me here is the interplay of light and shadow. The tree trunks create vertical accents, while the path, a bright zone, leads through the darkness of the forest.… This results in a clear division between surface and space, near and far. The motif thus becomes an exploration of depth, guidance, and atmospheric density – an image about orientation in space.
