The place that flourishes, is a botanical portrait and the fourth painting of the wonderland series. It represents the rediscovery of joy.
A journey from the depth into sunlight.
In it we see the background going from a very dark blue into a resplendent white, going through shades of green and bright yellows. At the bottom we find aquatic plants and as we go up they transform into ground herbs and we start to find some blossoms, in the brightest… part of the painting the flowers open in full anthesis, flourishing.
The artwork is painted on the sides so it looks great with and without a frame.

Alexia López Sosa is a prize-winning Mexican artist whose works have been widely exhibited nationally, as well as in France and Argentina. Three images are constants in the painter, printmaker, and sculptor's compositions, and include the mountain, the chair, and the wild herb. Sosa explores dreams and nature, and transformation through time. When she works,
she tears her heart onto the canvas, draining her memories, dreams, and landscapes. She describes her art as a coded transcription of who she is.
