Bogota is the first in a "Women of the World" collection.
This painting, somewhere between street art and poetic illustration, depicts a young woman painted in black and white with subtle touches of color in her dress. Her gaze lowered, her hair loose and disheveled, she seems lost in distant thought.
Her garment is a dynamic collage of floral patterns and geometric shapes in shades of beige, white, and black.
In the lower right corner, a small… black silhouette figure — probably a representation of the artist himself — is crouching, holding a can of spray paint, "signing" the painting.
The work plays with the boundary between reality and imagination, between the expressive power of the female figure and the almost childlike simplicity of the artist on the ground. A bittersweet beauty emanates from it, as if the image captured both the act of creation and the ephemeral nature of inspiration.
