About this artwork
In my "Women of the World" collection, here is Sofia, a modern woman with a strong gaze.
Its raw plaster textures contrast with the delicate collage. The acrylic paint, applied in shades of gray and ochre, brings to life a portrait that is both powerful and intimate. This painting will lend an elegant and mysterious atmosphere to your home, inviting contemplation and emotional reflection.

Françoise Schmidt paints primarily with acrylics, enriching her works with a variety of materials, drawing on her training in Strasbourg and a career in teaching. Her technique relies on mixing materials—sand, salt, paper—and oscillates between figurative and abstract art, in a constant search for balance and precision. Through successive layers and creative blending, she seeks to convey a sincere, intense, and introspective emotion, inviting viewers to explore the beauty and depth of human feelings.
