About this artwork
“Tear” is a painting that transcends the simplicity of sadness, capturing in its essence the complexity of feelings. Painted with the aim of evoking a deep and ambivalent emotion, the tears streaming down her cheek do not symbolize sadness, but rather a range of feelings oscillating between melancholy and joy.
The technical part of the painting focuses on the three-dimensionality of the lips, achieved through careful drawing which adds depth and… realism. The gaze encrusted with deep blacks gives his gaze a penetrating intensity, which seems to reveal secrets and hidden emotions.
The face, painted in a warm color palette, features shades of ivory white and touches of sienna, creating a chromatic harmony that highlights softness.
The hair and hat are details that do not go unnoticed, worked with a multi-layered technique that adds texture and movement. Thank you Clara

« I love to feel with our artistic duet the dance of our brushes accompanied by imaginative, colorful music within our stage that is a canvas. »
Her work explores contemporary themes such as identity, human connection, and environmental issues, using symbols and vibrant colors to capture the viewer's attention with her reflections.
What distinguishes Sastre's approach is the audacity of his chromatic palette and the expressive tension of his human figures.
Each canvas becomes a space for dialogue between the sensitive and the social, the personal and the collective.
He works with various media—oil, acrylic, ink—on multiple supports, from traditional canvas to cardboard, giving his works a texture and an almost tactile physical presence. His works exude a gestural force, marked by the movement of the line and the almost choreographic energy of the application of color, like a painted dance that invites the viewer to feel as much as to contemplate.
