About this artwork
A reinterpretation of Auguste Renoir's masterpiece "Luncheon of the Boating Party" (1880). Renoir's last major work in the Impressionist style, the painting depicts all the figures in action on a terrace along the Seine in Chatou, west of Paris. It portrays a gathering around a convivial meal on a sunny day.
